5T: Weekend-Long Greek Festival Kicks Off Today

Five things to know today.

Today is Friday, June 7. Here are five things to know:

1) Rain

Thanks to Tropical Storm Andrea we can expect rain today and tonight. According to the National Weather Service we can expect rain and fog this morning and then rain in the afternoon. High near 61 degrees. More rain tonight that could be heavy at times. Low around 55 degrees.

2) Greek Festival

Woburn's weekend-long Greek Festival is kicking off today at 11 a.m. at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Wide variety of entertainment and great food. Click here for more information.

 

3) Closing ceremonies

30th Annual Woburn Senior Center Senior Olympics Closing Ceremonies will be held at today following the day's events. There will also be an ice cream social.

 

4) Baby boot camp

The Winchester Recreation Department, 263 Main St., Winchester, is holding a Baby Boot Camp for Winchester and Woburn mothers at 9:30 a.m. this morning. Baby Boot Camp is an innovative stroller-fitness program that helps moms regain or enhance pre-pregnancy fitness levels and meet the physical challenges of parenting by emphasizing strength training in a supportive environment.
