A Friendly Reminder About Comments

Let's take a look at our Terms of Use, shall we?

We here at Woburn Patch strive to create a place for all Woburnites to congregate online and discuss local issues.

We want you to be involved; we want you to get to know each other. But, we want everyone to maintain a respectful tone in our comments section.

We are mindful of the comments that are posted on the site, and would like to remind users about the Patch Terms of Use policy

Let's highlight a few of the terms.

Comments cannot be:

  • defamatory, abusive, obscene, profane or offensive;
  • threatening, harassing or promoting racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;
  • inaccurate, false or misleading in any way;
  • illegal or promote any illegal activities;
  • containing “masked” profanity (e.g., F@&#)

While we Patch editors try to do it all, sometimes we need the help of our users. If you see a post that violates any of the terms listed above, you can flag it as "inappropriate." After three flags, a comment is deleted.

Also, remember, words in quotations are the words of others and not Woburn Patch. Reporters at Woburn Patch report the news and quotes from Woburnites and do not editorialize on content.

Let's look at it this way: We want you involved; we want to discuss issues. But, if you're unsure about the accuracy of something, don't post it. If you're going to personally attack someone, don't post it.

Now, let's talk!
