Boys & Girls Club of Woborn Carnival Starts Today

Five things to know today.

Today is Wednesday, May 8. Here are five things to know:

1) Afternoon showers

Looks like a gray day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect showers after 2 p.m. Otherwise cloudy with a high near 71 degrees. Showers likely tonight with a possible thunderstorm late into the night. Low around 53 degrees.

2) Public meetings

A Neighborhood Meeting - Main Street Rehab Project is taking place at 6 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Council Chamber.

 

3) Carnival!

The Boys & Girls Club of Woburn is hosting a carnival from Wednesday, May 8th through Sunday, May 12 at the Showcase Cinema parking lot. The carnival fundraiser will feature rides, games and food. Featured rides this year include the Freak Out and the all new EXPO Wheel in addition to many more exciting carnival rides. There will also be a petting zoo daily. 4) Free karate class

Peaceful Warriors Martial Arts is offering a free martial arts class for interested students. Classes for all ages available. 5) Beer Pong

Miss playing this college favorite? Here's your chance to play. Scoreboard Sports Bar & Grill is holding a Beer Pong Tournament tonight. Sign ups starting at 9:00 and the games will begin at 10:00. Cost is $5.
