Check Out Woburn's Newest Downtown Restaurant

Our Bites Nearby column looks at every angle of The BrickYard Restaurant.

The BrickYard: Authentic Pizzeria and Burger Bar

Overview: The BrickYard is the newest eatery in Woburn! It made its debut in early May 2011 and serves up a simple menu of pizza, burgers and beers to local residents and traveling foodies alike. What do neighboring restaurant TreMonte and The BrickYard have in common? A chef!

Decor: The BrickYard has two levels. The upper level has various tables and booths, a bar and a kitchen in the back. There is a second bar on the lower level. You can enter the restaurant on Main Street or from a convenient entry on the upper level in the municipal parking lot.

Beverages: It’s all about the brewskis! BrickYard has a wide array of draft and bottled beers from standards like Stella and Corona to some locally brewed favorites like Alligash and Sam Adams. The restaurant also offers white and red wines by the glass or bottle. Want something a bit stronger? How about a Scotch, a Brandy or some Cognac? They have those and other hard liquors as well.

Appetizers: Your arteries might clog just looking at the appetizer menu. Lots of fried delights including onion rings, sweet potato fries and chips are on the menu, as well as wings, tenders and potato skins. Or you can order up some sliders, which are traditionally small beef burgers, but you can also get meatball, chicken parm and buffalo tender ones as well.

Entrees: It’s all about the pizza and the burgers at The BrickYard! Their thin crust pizzas are cooked in a hot stone oven and come with a variety of toppings. The burgers are 100 percent Angus beef and for vegetarians they have Portobello burgers on the menu too. Not in the mood for a pizza or a burger? How about a French Dip Au Jus sandwich or a fully-loaded Antipasto Salad? We highly recommend the Grilled Steak Tips (in the House Marinade) which comes with rice pilaf and that day’s vegetable. Their entrees also include flank steak, turkey tips and a special fish option of the day.

Desserts: The BrickYard is so brand spanking new they don’t quite have a dessert menu yet. However, that doesn’t mean your sweet tooth can’t be satisfied. They have an off-the-menu Nutella pizza, as well as on-the-menu shakes and smoothies.

Service: There is full service at the bar and in the dining area by the friendly waitstaff.
