Event Spotlight: PAWS for a Cause
Adopt a pet, get a deal on supplies for cats and dogs or just donate food, litter or bedding to a local charity.
Protection of Animals in Wakefield Society, a charity concerned with the wellbeing of animals, is hosting a holiday event for pet owners and people who want to become one, according to a press release.
There will be cats and dogs available for adoption, raffles, a nail trimming service and goodie bags for the first 200 people who arrive.

PAWS has also set up a station within the Subaru dealership in Wakefield where people can donate animal food, litter, beds and other items from Nov. 19 through Dec. 3.
