1) Staying nice: After a nice April day yesterday, we’re in for another today. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will remain in the high-50s, near 60 degrees, and we’ll have sunshine and a spattering of clouds. We may see some rain in Woburn, probably after lunch.

2) Family dinner night: Tonight is the at Tanner Tavern. Head over to on Main Street and enjoy dinner. Then, mention the Joyce Middle School, and 20 percent of your bill will go toward the school’s Best Buddies Program. It’s a win-win!

3) Event spotlight: The Burbeen lecture series continues tonight with a discussion on the Dutch. Listen to presenter Sandy Mortimer and her Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

4) In case you missed it: A Woburn man has been charged with altering lottery tickets in Quincy District Court.

5) Finally over… sort of: On this day in 1970, Beatles frontman Paul McCartney announced that the Fab Four had broken up. Although the group had been in the midst of breaking apart for a few years, McCartney made the unofficial announcement during a press conference highlighting his new solo album. By year’s end, McCartney had dissolved the business partnership with the Beatles, formally ending the band.
