1) Warming up: Look for a high of 63 degrees today with partly cloudy skies, according to the National Weather Service. Just a start of warmer temps for the weekend ahead. Woo hoo!

2) Rally against cancer: Join together with local Woburn workplaces in supporting Rally Against Cancer to support the Jimmy Fund. Contributing $5 will allow participants to and wear Red Sox gear to work or school. Also, the top fundraising workplace and school are eligible for a visit from Sox Player Daniel Bard. Make your donation at , 158 Main St. Event is ongoing all day long.

 

3) Event Spotlight: Join popular radio hosts Loren and Wally at 15 Middlesex Canal Park, and
get geared up for the Red Sox home opener. Event starts early—5:30 a.m.—but
it's well worth it.

5) "Houston, we've had a problem here": On this day in 1970, those infamous words were spoken as a Beech-built oxygen tank explodes while the Apollo 13 attempts a trip to the moon. The situation captivated a nation as NASA engineers and astronauts worked frantically to get the broken space capsule home. The Apollo 13 landed safely and with no human lives lost in the South Pacific Ocean on April 17th.
