1) Spring breezes: The rain is likely behind us today, with sunshine starting to creep into Woburn. The National Weather Service expects sunshine, some spring breezes and temperatures in the mid to high-50s. Sounds good to us! But watch out for those breezes, we could see some wind gusts up to 37 miles per hour!

5) Famous women in literature: On this day in 1940, author Sue Grafton was born. Seven years later, on the same day, author Willa Cather passed away. Grafton is best known for her "alphabet mysteries" set in a fictional California town and featuring female private investigator Kinsey Millhone. A member of the Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime, Grafton is one of the most popular thriller writers in the U.S. Cather was the author of the famous novel "My Antonia," taught in high schools and colleges everywhere. Originally a journalist, Cather followed her dream to publish fiction and wrote several novels about pioneer life.
