1) Showers likely: Although it'll likely be warmer today, we're going to see some rain showers today. The National Weather Service says we have a 60 percent chance of precipitation during day and night Thursday.

2) Sound of Music: The school halls will be alive with the Sounds of Music tonight and Friday night! The Woburn Memorial High School Drama Club's annual spring musical—this year—will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday nights. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and students. 

 

3) Event Spotlight: Several City Hall boards and commissions will meet today: Board of Assessors, 5:30 p.m., Assessors' Office; Board of Health, 4:30 p.m., Board of Health conference room; Conservation Commission, 7 p.m., City Council Chambers; Housing Authority, 6:30 p.m., Spring Court Extension Community Room; and Sign Review Board, 2 p.m., City Hall.

5) A celebrity playground: On this day in 1977, New York City's Studio 54 nightclub opened. The club, located at 254 West 54th Street in NYC, would become one of the most famous clubs in the world, as well as the epicenter of the 1970s disco craze. Celebrities from all over, including political figures and athletes, visited Studio 54. Bianca Jagger celebrated her 30th birthday there, by entering the club riding a white horse. The club closed in 1980 and the owners later were found guilty of tax evasion. The club still enjoys popularity in pop culture; a new Studio 54 has opened in Las Vegas.
