1) Warming up: Looks like we’re in for a nice day today! The National Weather Service is forecasting sunshine and temperatures in the high 50s, close to 60, for our Monday. But, we may see some rain after dark.

2) Back to work: Friday was a holiday in the city of Woburn, but it’s back to work today. will be open regular hours, as will all other offices and services. As always, Woburn Police, Fire and DPW are at your service 24-7!

5) The power of music: On this day in 1939, singer Marian Anderson performed on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. Anderson, a black songstress who enjoyed success internationally, was not allowed to perform at Constitutional Hall in D.C. She was then asked by the Secretary of the Interior to perform on Easter Sunday at the Lincoln Memorial. Many believe Anderson’s performance was a precursor to the Civil Rights Movement.
