1) We don't believe you anymore, NWS

OK. We sort of believe you. It seems like every day the National Weather Service tells us we'll have rain or thunder. And we haven't seen as much rain as the organization has said. Well, today, again, the NWS says we'll have rain after noon in Woburn. Temperatures hover in the low-80s. We'll see, NWS. We'll see!

2) Family movie night

The city of Woburn Recreation Department is hosting another at tonight. The fun begins at 8 p.m. Tonight's movie is Tangled. Keep an eye on the Rec Department's Facebook page in case of rain.

 

3) Event spotlight

This weekend marks the annual feast of the Our Lady of the Mountain. The is hosting the three-day festival, which starts tonight at 83 Main Street.  

 

4) In case you missed it

Our , as we have highlighted a few different categories that are low in votes. Have you taken part in the polls yet? Do so before August 17 so your vote can be counted. Some categories only have five votes. And we know there are more than five of you out there!

 

5) S'mores, anyone? Yes, please!

While we normally use this space to highlight an event from the past, today, we're going to celebrate the present. Today—August 10, 2012—is National S'mores Day and we think you should all celebrate by having one of the tasty campfire treats. To help you out, here are some recipes for S'mores and a few variations.
