  5. Video Killed the Radio Star: With a child of the 80s and 90s at the helm of Woburn Patch, you knew that the anniversary of MTV’s launching was going to be in Five Things. On this day in 1981, Music Television premiered, showing the infamous video “Video Killed the Radio Star” by the Buggles. With a slew of VJ (video jockeys) and videos provided by record companies, the station aired music 24-7. Starting in the 90s, it began running other programming and became what it is today. A lot of reality television. And Woburn Patch isn’t thrilled about it!
