Today is Friday, August 5. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Patchy fog: There will be patchy fog this morning, according to the National Weather Service. Maybe it’ll be Woburn Patchy fog? OK, that was bad. We’ll move along now… Temperatures will probably stay in the 70s today and we’ll see some sunshine after that Woburn Patchy fog. Oops… We did it again.        
  2. We love singing: If you love singing too, bring your little ones to the library this morning for the . He’ll be singing some awesome kids’ songs and encouraging little Woburnites to join in the fun.
  3. More singing!: The Horn Pond Concert Series rolls on tonight with a . The fun begins at 7 p.m.   
  4. In case you missed it: Our is back, now that Woburn Patch’s favorite photographer Rick Nohl is back in town. Rick stopped by the Native American Pow Wow last weekend and took some stunning photos. .  
  5. Candle in the wind: On this day in 1962, legendary actress and model Marilyn Monroe was found dead in her Los Angeles home at the age of 36 by an apparent overdose of sleeping pills. Monroe, born Norma Jeane Mortenson, became famous for her roles in Gentelmen Prefer Blondes (1953), How to Marry a Millionaire (1953) and The Seven Year Itch (1955). She is also remembered for her breathy 1962 performance of "Happy Birthday" for President John F. Kennedy at Madison Square Garden.
