2) Wyman parking lot: A School Committee sub-committee met last week to approve changes to the parking area. There is now no parking along the driveway by the primary wing. There is also a buses-only parking area.

3) Event spotlight: The city’s License Commission will meet tonight at at 6 p.m. Expect New Horizons, The Restaurant, the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church and New Year’s Eve extended hours.

4) In case you missed it: Longtime School Committee member Joseph Crowley was honored Tuesday at a special retirement party. Check out our story and photos here.

5) A fortified lean: On this day in 2001, the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa re-opened in Italy, after experts spent 11 years fortifying the building. The tower was originally opened in 1360, complete with infamous lean thanks to the soft ground it was built on.
