WMHS is collecting Toys for Tots this month.

1) A triumphant return: The sun is back today! The National Weather Services says we’ll have a sunny Friday with temperatures in the low-50s. We could have some high winds today, with gusts as high at 36 miles per hour.

2) Toys for Tots: students in the National Honor Society and Students Against Drunk Driving are holding a Toys for Tots drive this month. Donate an unwrapped toy by leaving it in the drop box at WMHS.

 

3) Event spotlight: Looking for some entertainment tonight? Check out Comedy at the , which will feature Jim Colliton, Tom Hayes and Kristin O’Brien. will also feature live music tonight 8:30 p.m.

 

4) In case you missed it: The first of three Winterfest music concerts was at the last night. Check out photos and video here!

 

5) Pride and birthday cake: On this day in 1775, author Jane Austen was born in Hampshire, England. The author, who is best known for her works Pride and Prejudice and Mansfield Park, began writing early in life and finished her first novella at 14 years old. Austen remains popular with readers and academics, more than 200 years after her death.
