1) Starting the week off right: It’s almost Christmas and many of you, if you’re like us, still have a lot of shopping to do. Good thing for all of us that it’s going to be clear and sunny in Woburn today! Expect temperatures to hover in the mid-40s most of the day and dropping to about freezing after nightfall.

2) Holiday Wishes: The on Lexington Street is once again hosting a Holiday Wishes donation drive. It is a non-denominational giving program that benefits local homeless children. Stop by the Y welcome desk for more information.

 

3) Event spotlight: As city politics winds down for the holiday season, the City Council Finance Committee meets tonight at Meeting starts at 7 p.m. Expect an overlay reserve fund transaction and a discussion on a citywide truck traffic study proposal.

5) “I did not…”: On this day in 1998, the House of Representatives voted to impeach then-President Bill Clinton on charges he lied under oath to a federal grand jury and obstructed justice. The president was later acquitted of the charges by the Senate. The charges stemmed from an extra-marital affair between Clinton and former intern Monica Lewinsky.
