Today is Wednesday, Feb. 16. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Rising temps: We are delighted to report that it’s getting a little warmer in Woburn this week. After enjoying temps in the 50s on Monday, it was rather chilly Tuesday. But the National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures close to 40 degrees for today.
  2. Future Farmers Market: For those of you interested in the future Farmers Market at Spence Farm, there is a public meeting of the Woburn Agricultural Committee tonight at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at Spence Farm.
  3. Network at Sea Dog: The Woburn Business Association is holding a networking event at the on Mishawum Road tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. New members are welcome at no charge.
  4. In case you missed it: The federal Department of Defense’s Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office announced that would be part of a ceremony honoring his crew, missing in action since 1943, at Arlington National Cemetery in March. Although Moore’s remains were returned to Woburn in 2009, other members of the crew remained un-identified. Now, in 2011, the entire crew will be honored. Find out about it here.
  5. King Tut’s tomb: On this day in 1923, English explorer Howard Carter found the tomb of King Tutaknhamen in Egypt’s Valley of the Kings. Carter had searched all over the Valley of the Kings for seven years before finding the tomb in 1922. On Feb. 16, 1923, he chipped away at a door, which he believed would lead to King Tut’s burial area. And, sure enough, it did. Tutankhamen, who became king when he was nine years old, was buried in a gold sepulchral chamber at the time of his death at age 18.
