1) Warmth of the sun: Even though that silly groundhog said we’d have six more weeks of winter, we’re not sure that’s a bad thing. We’ve kind of liked this year’s winter! Today will be another nice one—sunshine and temperatures in the mid-40s. Thanks, Mother Nature!

2) Math Bee: We mentioned this awesome event last week, but wanted to make sure you remembered! The is in the midst of its Math Bee fundraiser. This challenges is the school’s biggest fundraiser. How can you help? By sponsoring a child! Find out more at the Hurld PTO website. (This link will take you off of Woburn Patch!)

3) Event spotlight: Get your toddlers and get ready to swim! The is hosting at 9:30 a.m. this morning. Fee is $3 per child or $5 per family.

4) In case you missed it: A Woburn grandmother got a surprise when she opened her cell phone text messages and found an obscene photo.

5) Fore!: On this day in 1971, NASA Astronaut Alan Shepard hit two golf balls from the surface of the moon during the Apollo 14 mission. Shepard was no stranger to space, in 1961 he was the second person, and the first American, in space. He returned 10 years later, then the oldest person in the space program, but apparently decided this time he didn't want go too long without practicing his drive.
