2) Senior movies: The is hosting Today’s movie is “A Streetcar Named Desire” and starts at 10 a.m. Another showing is at 1:30 p.m.

 

3) Event spotlight: Got a toddler who loves to swim? Get them over to the at 9:30 a.m. for open swim time for children under 5 years old. Cost is $3 per child or $5 per family.

5) Mahatma’s violent end: On this day in 1948, the Mahatma, Mohandas Gandhi, is shot and killed by a Hindu assassin. Gandhi was a spiritual and political leader in India’s independence movement, always citing civil disobedience and nonviolent measures. He was known as the Mahatma—the Great Soul—and was conducting a vigil in New Dehli when he was killed.
