Today is Wednesday, July 13. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. More sun!: Although we may see some showers or thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, expect another sunny scorcher in Woburn today! According to the National Weather Service, it’ll be mostly sunny with temperatures in the high 80s.
  2. Read a book, watch a movie: It’s at the movies today for the kiddos. If your child has read a book and written a report on it, you can swing by the today and catch a special showing of Bee Movie.
  3. A knightly experience: The group to talk about being a knight. Kids will see what knights wore, what types of weapons they used and talk about medieval times.
  4. In case you missed it: Woburn Police were busy yesterday, as the heat coursed through the city. There was a bicyclist struck in the early morning, an online relationship that just didn’t pan out and ended in Woburn, and a suspect blamed his toilet for harassing his neighbor. Check out all those stories and more in the police log
  5. Indy gets a year older: On this day in 1942, actor Harrison Ford was born in Chicago, Illinois. Ford is perhaps best known for his roles as Han Solo in the original Star Wars trilogy and as the title character in the Indian Jones movies. In 2008, the United States domestic box office grosses of Ford's films total nearly $3.4 billion, with worldwide grosses surpassing $6 billion, making him the third highest grossing U.S. domestic box-office star.
