A wild week in Woburn wraps up.


Here are five things you need to know today:

 

1) Under 80 degrees

For the first time in awhile, it'll be less than 80 degrees in Woburn today.  According to the National Weather Service, Woburn will have a high temperature of 76 degrees. Expect similar temps on Saturday, before we warm up again to 86 on Sunday!

2) Chaotic Wrestling

The local wrestling organization will host several matches tonight at the Woburn Elks Lodge on Washington Street. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and wrestling begins at 8 p.m. "Firebrand" Brian Fury will defend his Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight title in the premiere matchup. Tickets are $12 when ordered or reserved online; children 10-years-old and younger are $5.

 

3) Event Spotlight

Not sure what to do tonight? It's a beautiful night to sit outside and listen to music! The Love Dogs, a local swing band, will perform at tonight's Summer Concert. In addition to music, Studio 665 will also do a swing dance demonstration. Concert begins at 7 p.m.

 

4) In Case You Missed It

It's been a wild week in Woburn—a , a couple pitches a tent and is found and there may have been Catch up with all of the wild action! 

 

5) One giant leap for mankind

 On this day in 1969, the famous words spoken by Astronaut Neil Armstrong—“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”—were said on the moon. That’s right, on the moon. It still blows our mind to think about it! Armstrong walked on the moon, saying that famous phrase in his microphone to millions of people watching at home on television.
