Today is Tuesday, July 5. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Sunshine rolls on: Another great day in Woburn today, if the National Weather Service forecast is correct. According to the NWS, we’ll see sunny skies and high temperatures reaching 84 degrees. The NWS expects the clear skies to stay with us through the evening.  
  2. Trash pick-up: With the holiday this weekend, trash pick-up has been delayed a day. Put out your trash today if you’re normally a Monday pick-up! Tuesday pick-ups will be on Wednesday and so on.
  3. Senior heart discussion: The Middlesex Visiting Nurse Association will hold a at the Woburn Senior Center today. The lecture starts at 9:45 a.m.

  5. Itsy bitsy teenie weenie: The bikini made it's world debut on this day in 1946 in a fashion show at the Molitor Pool in Paris, France. The two-piece bathing suit, created by Louis Reard, was worn by Micheline Bernardini at the show.
