2) Girls of Summer: Check out the Woburn Major League Softball All-Stars play in the Sectional Playoffs of Little League Softball tonight. Game starts at 5:30 pm at , 40 Forest Park Rd.

3) Event Spotlight: Looking for a new wine? There will be an at 161 Main St., between 4 and 7 p.m. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon aged in French oak barrels will all be available for sampling.

 

4) In Case You Missed It: Who is that masked man? No, It's not a superhero, it's a criminal.

 

5) Trouble at the Big Top: On this day in 1944, a fire broke out at the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus in Hartford, CT. The quick moving fire lasted only 10 minutes, but the aftermath was devastating—167 killed and 682 injured. Among the dead were 100 children. Due to the speed of the blaze, there was widespread panic. Many people were caught in the stampede to exit the tent, while others were pinned under burning pieces of canvas. The cause of the fire was never known.
