1) More sun: Yes! The sun is with us for yet another day! According to the National Weather Service, we'll see sunshine and temperatures in the mid-70s. But, expect some patchy fog while you're driving to work this morning. The NWS says fog before 8 a.m. and rain showers possible after 7 p.m.

2) Know Your Rights: The Woburn Public Schools is holding a seminar tonight at the from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The workshop will inform parents about students' and families' rights to evaluation and individualized education plans.

 

3) Event spotlight: Also at the Joyce tonight, there will be an at 6:30 p.m. If your child will be attending middle school next year, this informational session is for you.

 

4) In case you missed it: Woburn Police had a rather busy weekend. A man blamed "cat calls" on, yup, you guessed it, his cat; and a man reportedly stole several cartons of cigarettes from Scrub a Dub. .

 

5) Mr. Gorbachev "Tear down this wall!": On this day in 1987, President Ronal Reagan challenged then General Secretary of the Communist Party Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall which had separated Germany since the end of World War II and was one of the hottest points of contention between the United States and the Soviet Union. The line is considered to be Reagan's four most important words of his presidency. Twenty-nine months later, after an intense East German protest, the wall began to be tore down. A few years later the Soviet Union collapsed.
