Today is Monday, June 20. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Stormy … maybe: The National Weather Service is thinking we might get a little rain and thunder here in Woburn today. According to the NWS, while we’ll have mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s, we may see some rain and storms after 2 p.m. Carry that umbrella with you, just in case!   
  2. Council sub-com: The City Council sub-committees on finances, police and licenses, special permits, ordinances, municipal lands and public safety will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in . Several items are on the agenda, including an application for a business to sell secondhand and personal items at the Holiday Inn Select.
  3. Suduko: Calling all Suduko enthusiasts! There will be a suduko gathering at 10:30 a.m. at the to talk about the game.
  4. In case you missed it: Reporter Nadine Wandzilak had a great Father’s Day story of three generations of the Anderson family. Pastor Keith Anderson of the spoke to Nadine about his dad, as well as his young children. Read the story here.
  5. Don’t go in the water: On this day in 1975, movie-goers were scared witless of the water when the thriller Jaws began playing in theaters. The film, which featured tons of special effects, made Steven Spielberg a household name. The movie also showed us what a mean, hungry great white shark can do. We still get a little scared watching it!
