1) Brrrrrr: Well compared to last week, today will be downright chilly! The National Weather Service says we can expect a high of 70 degrees today, along with scattered thundershowers and a 60 percent chance of rain.

2) Sing Your Heart Out: Every Monday, the at 15 Middlesex Canal Park, offers karaoke for those of you who wish to take the mic and show off your skills. Event begins at 8 p.m.

 

3) Event Spotlight: The Woburn Historical Society presents "Voices from the Basement" at the at 6:30pm. There will be a  presentation by Sue Ellen Holland about the stores of Woburn's past on Main Street and beyond. That will be followed by a documentary by Michael Bavaro about Filene's Basement, an icon in Boston history.

 

4) In Case You Missed It: Make sure to check out Nadine's article from Friday about how several Kimball Court residents are giving back to the community this summer.

 

5) An Electric Youth: On this day in 1988, teen sensation Debbie Gibson hit the top of the charts with her song Foolish Beat. Not only did she perform the song, but she was the youngest person to ever write, produce and perform a number one hit. Before Foolish Beat, Debbie had other hits to reach the Top 10, including Only In My Dreams, Shake Your Love (a WuPatch favorite!) and Out Of The Blue.
