  1. Another nice one: It’s expected to be another beautiful day in the city of Woburn today. The National Weather Service is expecting sunshine and temperatures in the low 80s. What a way to start summer vacation with the kids!  
  2. What’s up at City Hall: Both the Redevelopment Authority and the Planning Board will meet tonight at . Both boards will discuss items that have been on the agenda before, such as , as well as some new special permit requests at Planning Board. The Redevelopment Authority will meet at 5, while Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m.
  3. Summer program begins: The begins today at 7:45 a.m. at Weafer Park. The program will have weekly themes and field trips. .

  5. Blazing Saddles: On this day in 1926, Melvin Kaminsky was born. Never heard of him? Perhaps you know him better as filmmaker Mel Brooks, who is best known for his comedy movies Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs and Robin Hood: Men in Tights. In his storied career, Brooks has won Oscar, Emmy, Tony and Grammy awards.
