Today is Thursday, March 10. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Rain, rain, go away: More clouds and rain are expected today, as the National Weather Service is forecasting a chance of rain and snow during the morning commute, as well rain during the rest of the day. No snow accumulation is expected. Temperatures are expected to stay in the low 40s today.      
  2. Redistricting: The public schools continues its tour of the elementary schools, explaining the redistricting plan of students for the next school year. at 6 p.m.. 
  3. A Civil Action: Interested in the 1998 movie A Civil Action, which was based on the site and case in Woburn? A showing of the movie and a discussion with Jan Schlichtmann will be held at the in Arlington tonight at 7 p.m. Schlichtmann will talk about the case and environmental law. The event is sponsored by the Mystic River Watershed Association, Woburn Residents' Environmental Network, Sustainable Arlington, the Aberjona Study Coalition and the Friends of the Mystic River.
  4. In case you missed it: The night, but was promptly Wednesday morning. SEEM opted to go with the lease proposal by the city of Melrose instead of Woburn. Officials now are thinking about putting the lease out to bid in an attempt to find another tenant. .
  5. Birth of the roundhouse kick: On this day in 1940 actor Chuck Norris was born to Wilma and Ray Norris. Norris studied martial arts from a young age and won many tournaments but is best known for his acting career. He starred in Way of the Dragon (opposite Bruce Lee), Code of Silence, The Delta Force, Firewalker and the series Walker: Texas Ranger. Also, according to the Web site chucknorrisfacts.com, "If Google can’t find it, Chuck Norris can.”
