2) Boys & Girls Club: Don’t forget, the on Charles Gardner Lane is closed this week. The club is gearing up for its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration, where the will be given away during its raffle! Regular activities resume on Monday, March 19.

 

3) Event spotlight: is hosting a Head over to Horn Pond Plaza and find out more about the gluten-free lifestyle.

 

4) In case you missed it: dealt with a combative inmate Monday night, as a man arrested for causing a scene at Stop & Shop and in the street attacked officers.

 

5) Certified gold: On this day in 1958, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded the first Gold Record in history. The award went to singer Perry Como for the single “Catch a Falling Star.” The second honoree? Laurie London for “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.” And the third Gold Record went to Elvis Presley for “Hard Headed Woman” in August, 1958.
