4) In case you missed it: We have a new addition to our Local Voices column. The Kitty Connection group, which specializes in helping feral cats and other animals find “forever homes,” is now blogging on Woburn Patch! Here are their and blog entries.

5) People are strange: On this day in 1969, Doors lead singer Jim Morrison is charged with lewd behavior, indecent exposure, profanity and drunkenness after a concert in Miami, Florida. Although Morrison thought the charges were a joke, the Florida authorities were rather serious. Morrison would be tried in 1970 and refused a plea bargain. He was sentenced to six months in prison, but died in Paris before he could serve the time. It wasn’t until December of 2010 that Morrison was officially pardoned of the charges by the state of Florida.
