1) Good day, sunshine: Sun, sun and more sun! The National Weather Service is forecasting an overnight low of 27 degrees and a full day of sunny skies with a high of 37.

5) And that's the way it is: On this day in 1981, legendary broadcast journalist and news anchor Walter Cronkite retired after 19 years as anchorman for CBS Evening News. Often referred to as "the most trusted man in America," Cronkite reported on many momentous events during his long career, including bombings in World War II, the Iran Hostage Crisis and the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., and Beatles member John Lennon. Cronkite was also known for his coverage of the U.S. Space Program and the first Moon Landing. Cronkite died in July 17, 2009, at the age of 92.
