Today is Tuesday, May 10. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. More clouds: Yesterday’s clouds are still with us today, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS is forecasting a chance of showers after 11 a.m. and clouds all day. If you’ll be heading out after 6 p.m., chances are you may hit some rain then too. Temperatures will be in high 50s today. 
  2. Senior concert: , a pianist-vocalist, will perform international songs for seniors at the on Rehabilitation Way. Dexter will perform in many different languages and attendees are asked to sing along. .
  3. Relay for Life: The local will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center to continue planning for this year’s event. Volunteers are welcome!
  4. In case you missed it: Over the weekend, we profiled the fantastic , a Woburnite who is hoping to start a local chapter of the Neighborhood Brigade. The organization helps neighbors in need with transportation, meals and other helpful activities. .  
  5. Political prison to president: On this day in 1994, Nelson Mandela was sworn in as South Africa's first black president and served in that position until 1999. Nelson had spent 27 years in prison (1962 - 1990) after being charged with sabotage for participating in anti-apartheid activism.
