4) In Case You Missed It: A group of Woburnites banded together last weekend to help a disabled World War II veteran clean up his property. The Main Street man was facing a deadline from the City Council on whether his property would be considered a public nuisance.  

 

5. Nothing you can say can tear me away from my guy: On this day in 1964, singer Mary Wells scored a number one hit with the song "My Guy." The song was the first number one hit for a new record label—Motown Records in Detroit. The label was known for its legendary success under Berry Gordy and had 32 number one singles from various artists over the next decade. "My Guy" was Mary Wells' only number one single.
