3) Event Spotlight: The City Council Committees will meet tonight at 6 p.m. While it may not sound too exciting, it might be! The City Council Committee on Finance is slated to discuss the water meter issue and whether the city will appropriate millions of dollars to install water meters on residential properties.

4) In Case You Missed It: A trio of Rwandan teenagers visited Woburn Memorial High School last week to talk to students about life in their country. The visit was sponsored by Cummings Properties. !

5. I can't drive... 15???: On this day in 1901, Connecticut regulated the speed of motor vehicles, setting the country's first speed limit. The law said cars could not go more than 12 miles per hour on city roads, 15 on country roads. Two years later, New York adopted its own code. But by 1930, there were still states that had no speed limit. In fact, some states didn't even require driver's licenses! In 1974, then-President Richard Nixon signed the national speed limit law—55 miles per hour on all highways—but it was later repealed in 1995. Now, states have the say on how fast you can drive on roads.
