Today is Wednesday, May 25. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Mostly awesome: It’s what we’ve been waiting for all week... The National Weather Service is forecasting “mostly sunny” skies for today, along with temperatures in the 70s. That sounds mostly awesome to us!
  2. Green & Blue: The at the will be held tonight and tomorrow night in the auditorium. The program was re-scheduled after being delayed earlier this month. The fun begins at 7 p.m. both nights.
  3. History is alive: The Woburn Historical Commission will meet tonight at for its regular meeting. On the agenda tonight are the historic plaque program, Battle Road management, the Woburn Armory and more. Meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the engineer’s conference room.
  4. In case you missed it: had a long day Monday, dealing with several emergencies. The day began at 3 a.m. with a report of a toddler injured after ingesting water in a hot tub. That night, police were called to a local hotel for a prostitution investigation involving a transsexual from New York. .
  5. A galaxy far, far away: On this day in 1977, the movie blockbuster Star Wars premiered in theatres. The George Lucas film, which spawned sequels and prequels, introduced us to Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, and of course, Darth Vader. “Luke, I am your father.” Sorry, we couldn’t help it.
