5) You May Remember Me From...: On this day in 1998, comedian Phil Hartman is murdered by his wife, who then committed suicide. Hartman was a beloved character actor on Saturday Night Live for years, famously portraying Bill Clinton and many celebrities. He also starred in the sitcom NewsRadio and voiced several Simpsons characters, including attorney Lionel Hutz and actor Troy McClure. Phil Hartman was 49 years old.
