1) More clouds today: Ugh! More rain and clouds are expected this morning! According to the National Weather Service, we may see some rain in Woburn after 9 a.m. But expect clouds most of the day. Temperatures will be in the mid-50s.

2) Student Government Day: Mayor Scott Galvin took to the web Tuesday to thank everyone involved in Student Government Day in the public schools and City Hall. Posted at the city's web page, here is Mayor Galvin's letter to the public. [Note: Link will take you off of Woburn Patch.]

 

3) Event Spotlight: The city's Recreation Commission will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Engineer's Conference Room. On the agenda are: the Weafer Park Playground, new spring and summer programs, the budget, the pools, summer employees and Whispering Hill. 

 

4) In Case You Missed It: Nadine introduced us to Shonna McEachern yesterday. Shonna, a Woburn resident and actress, performs with Deana's Theater to teach middle-schoolers about bullying and unhealthy relationships.

 

5) Visiting Santa: On this day in 1952, the United States Air Force landed on the North Pole. Lieutenant Colonel Joseph O. Fletcher walked out of the modified aircraft and walked to the exact location of the North Pole. But, while Fletcher walked to North Pole, he did not report whether Santa's Workshop was there...
