1) Event spotlight

It's time for Septemberfest! What exactly is that? It's kind of like an Oktoberfest meets volunteerism. Join Boys & Girls Club supporters tonight at the Sons of Italy for a microbrew/craft beer and wine tasting event. All proceeds will help the club. Fun begins at 7 p.m. .

2) Blood drive today

The American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive today at the Moose Lodge. All donors will receive a free Boston Red Sox T-shirt and coupons to Munro Muffler. Donations are needed in all blood types.

3) A repeat of yesterday

According to the National Weather Service, we'll have a repeat of yesterday! Expect sunshine and temperatures in the high-60s, low-70s. We may even see a slight wind. Saturday will be warmer, before we're hit with some rain showers Sunday.

4) In case you missed it

Our first teen-reported and teen-written post of the 2012-2013 school year was published yesterday afternoon. We love this partnership with Woburn Memorial High School's BullsEye journalism program. And now you can find all the students' stories in one place—WMHS BullsEye on WuPatch. Didn't save the link? Don't worry! The WMHS BullsEye is always a click away by using our "Topics" menu in the navigation bar.

5) Take the good, take the bad...

On this day in 1985, some guy joined the Facts of Life cast as a handyman. Who was that guy again? He had longish hair, a famous relative, no one knew who he was... Oh, that's right. George Clooney. Whatever happened to that guy anyway?
