UPDATE: Guided Nature Walk for Adults, Children Saturday CANCELLED

Join naturalist Gerry Kehoe for a guided nature walk around Horn Pond July 2.

Have you ever wondered about the natural wonders at Horn Pond? Then, you definitely want to check out the guided nature tour of the conservation area this Saturday, July 2, at 9 a.m.

Geraldine Kehoe, a self-taught naturalist and award-winning nature photographer, will lead a tour of the Horn Pond area for parents, grandparents and their children or grandchildren Saturday. Another tour will be held Saturday, Sept. 10.

The tour will begin at 9 a.m. and focus on Horn Pond Mountain and the "Indian Bowl." Tours generally last one to two hours and are appropriate for children over age 5. 

A tip for tour-takers, wear good walking shoes and bring sun block, insect repellant and your camera, but please leave pets at home.

Some things you may see at Horn Pond are geese and ducks, along with their brood of babies, Lady Slippers, turtles, fish and frogs. 

Kehoe's nature photography focuses much on Woburn's conservation areas, including Horn Pond. She is also a founding member of WREN—Woburn Residents Environmental Network—and has been a Woburn resident for more than 60 years, 40 of which have been spent living in the Horn Pond area.
