Home Needed: Gallo, a Green-Eyed Black and White Cat

Gallo: A playful and sweet guy who is ready to settle down.

They call me Gallo, and I love people. I always greet my foster dad with a meow and a purr. Right now, I am living in a garage since there are too many cats-in-need and not enough space in the foster homes. But, I am dreaming of the day when I will have my own humans who might even let me sleep with them on their bed every night. I am a lover, not a leaver, that's for sure.

My best features? It would be hard to pick, but I do have gorgeous green eyes. And then there are my amazing whiskers and symmetrical black markings on a clean, white coat. At only a year old, I am young and playful, yet yearning for a long-term relationship.  My first choice would be a home where I can be the sole feline living with one or more devoted humans. Call me selfish, but I get a little anxious when I have to share my space with other cats.

While I plan to be a homebody, you should know I still have plenty of kitten in me. I am a unique combination of maturity and youth.  I can play up a storm with the best of them. But, all else being equal, I might just entertain you by poking my paw in the water dish and splashing around. I must have been a dog in my previous life!

My foster dad says I am “determinately adoptable” and I agree with him. Come meet me and see what you think!

Gallo is living in a garage because PAWS is currently experiencing a large number of surrenders of young adult cats and is having difficulty accommodating these animals.  If you are interested in learning more about Gallo to adopt or simply foster him short term, contact PAWS at (718) 246-6111 or Pawswakefield@yahoo.com. You can also meet many of our available kittens and cats at our adoption hours every Saturday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital and on the first Saturday of the month at the Woburn Petco from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.
