To my surprise he found me the perfect bottle the other day at the store, and it's called Mommy's Time Out.
Not only was this bottle of wine delectibly smooth and crisp, but it's also Italian! A great pinot grigio for a good steal price of $9.99, this bottle (and the hubby) are total winners.

After doing a bit more research, I also found this brand dives into the red wine genre as well with a rosso primitivo (literally translated to primitive red) and they have a Daddy's Day Off pinot noir as well.
The pinot grigio is about 11.5 percent alcohol and the rosso primitvos are up around 13.5 percent, they mean to really relax you I guess!
Primitivos are actually the same grape as the ones used to make Zinfandel wine but because it's from the south of Italy it does taste more like Italian reds than a Californian Zin. Sadly, the Plaza spirits store doesn't have the rosso primitivo but it does carry the Daddy's Day Off bottle for $9.99 as well.
