Snow and Freezing Rain to Hit Woburn

Woburn could get up to four inches of snow Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. A winter weather advisory is in effect between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The snowfall is expected to begin between 8 and 11 a.m. and last until around 3 p.m., when it is expected to turn into sleet and freezing rain. There will be fog with slight winds up to 9 miles per hour, and rain could be heavy at times.

Driving conditions during Tuesday's evening commute are expected to be "difficult... but not impossible" as the snow mixes with the freezing rain.

NWS predicted a slight chance of snow in Woburn on Friday, too.
