Whiz Kid of the Week: Kevin Wormell

Woburn Patch selects Kevin Wormell as the Whiz Kid of the Week.

Each week, Woburn Patch will select a . This week, we chose Kevin Wormell, a 17-year-old student at Woburn Memorial High School. Kevin is an Honor Roll student, terrific athlete and hard-worker!

  • Kevin Wormell, 17
  • Kevin is an exceptional student in his junior year at Woburn Memorial High School.
  • Kevin's "Key to Awesomeness" is that "he is a very smart young man, who I am proud to call my son," said mom Sue Poleatewich.  Kevin is an Honor Roll student at WMHS and is an avid basketball player. He also recently took up volleyball and plays for the Boys & Girls Club team. Sue said Kevin has been going to the Boys & Girls Club since he was in kindergarten and he has always loved it. "He has also been working there since September of 2008 as junior staff," said Sue. "He is respected by his peers and also the younger kids, many of which he is a role model for."  Last year, Kevin won the Basketball Teen of the Year award and also coached the team that won the championships for the year at the Boys & Girls Club.  Kevin recently started working at Market Basket and is currently in the Produce Department. We are happy to highlight Kevin as this week's Whiz Kid!
