- Our Facebook fan base is still growing, albeit a little slowly this week! We gained 9 new followers and, as of Friday night, were at 1,644 fans!
- Although we had no fireworks in Woburn for the Fourth, we were able to provide a list of nearby towns celebrating with sparklers. Ghada Massabni, one of our biggest supporters on social media, thanked us for our list!
- While we can't be everywhere, our readers often are! Drew Murphy posted on our Facebook Monday when he heard there was a fire at Chute Oil. Sure enough, there was a fire in a truck cab. Drew posted again to let us know that it had been extinguished quickly by Woburn Fire. Thanks, Drew!
- We posted a story about more than 50 special educators who were honored by parents and students at the end of the school year. Rick Metters said, "Congratulations to those outstanding professionals who care so deeply about some very special children!" and Michael Mulrenan added, "Thanks to Woburn PAC for honoring those staff members that go over and above for our students. See you all in September have a happy and safe summer."
- We challenged our "literary nerds" who read Woburn Patch on Thursday, asking who had the famous address 221B Baker St. Christina Bonish-Makinen and Juliane Watros gave us the correct answer, while Richard Gangi quipped, "If you don't know this, you should be ashamed." Well, we are proud of our literary nerdness and glad our readers are too!!
- It was a quiet week on our Facebook page—must be the end of the school year? Let us know how you're doing, we love to hear from you all!
- Our Twitter fan base is also moving on up! We are currently at 608 followers. Welcome to our new readers!
- On Twitter this week, many thanks to @smirkitty who retweeted our Where Is It? posts and called it a "fun game."
- As always, we try to post a conversation starter each night on our Facebook page, so be sure to join us there after 7 p.m. nightly!
