City of Woburn Democrats Wards 1-7 will hold the 2013 Caucus to

Select Convention Delegates to the 2013 State Democratic Convention in Lowell on Saturday June 1, 2013

 Caucus to be held:

 WHEN: Saturday February 9th 2013 (Weather Date Saturday March 2,2013)

TIME: doors will be open at 3:30PM Caucus to begin at 4:00PM

LOCATION: Woburn Senior Center 144 School St. Woburn, MA

 4 Delegates and 3 Alternates from Wards 1,2,3,4,5,7 will be selected

3 Delegates and 3 Alternates From Ward 6 will be selected

All Democrats registered as of December 31,2012 in Woburn are eligible to participate. Delegates will be divided equally between men and women. Those not elected as Delegate and/or Alternate, who meet the qualifications, may apply to be add-on delegates in the following categories: youth, minority, and disabled.

The caucus is open press.

 At our 2013 convention, the delegates selected by Woburn Democrats will debate and adopt our platform for the next four years, catch up and network with other organizers around the Commonwealth and hear from some exciting future leaders of our party. With the appointment of Senator John Kerry as the US Secretary of State this Convention takes on a new dimension as a result of the special election to be held to replace Senator Kerry for the remainder of his term.

 Massachusetts Democratic Party’s Platform Convention will be held.

 WHEN: June 1, 2013

WHERE: Tsongas Arena at UMASS Lowell, MA
