Cummings Properties is seeking a hard-working and professional individual for its Purchasing Department.
This position requires extensive experience purchasing and estimating commercial construction and building maintenance labor and materials. A qualified candidate must also be an excellent organizer and communicator. Near-term potential for a senior executive appointment within the firm will be measured in large part by the candidate’s skillfulness with strategic thinking, negotiating, and project management.
Responsibilities include: making informed and appropriate selections and purchases of goods and services; monitoring all contract purchases; negotiating, evaluating, preparing, and processing orders and contracts; expediting delivery of goods; maintaining favorable relationships with vendors; locating competitive vendors for best pricing; and developing cost-saving proposals including alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria.
