Community Corner

Farino Photo Show

On Sunday, November 3rd, Woburn Public Library
volunteer Linda Olsson will

present the next Community Conversation featuring photographs from the Patrick
Farino Collection at Woburn Public Library.
     At
the last show, we saw a few photos of the Bordens plant on Conn St.

A question came up: did Borden’s make instant coffee?  We have the answer and some great additional
Borden’s photos, and, yes, we have Elsie the Cow.  We will also be featuring Schroeder’s Coffee
from Montvale Avenue,

housing projects in the 1950's, a Montvale
Avenue construction project next to Woburn
Degreasing, an Atlantic Gelatin Christmas Party with Rex Trailer, and St.
Charles First Communion, May 1955.

    The audience will be
encouraged to identify what they recognize.
     If handicapped access is

required, please call the library the week before at (781) 933-0148.

The event is free and open to the
public and refreshments will be provided.

      Doors will open at 1:45
p.m. and the program will run from 2pm to 4pm.
