Fraud and Scams Prevention Series Telemarketing Fraud

Fraud and scams is an issue that affects everyone. During this series you will learn more about the various scams that exist. By learning about them you will be more likely to identify them, and then avoid them. We will also discuss various strategies on how to reject the fraudulent offer and what to do if you do become the victim of a scam.

During this session we will be talking about telemarketing fraud. These con-artist are taught tactics to not take "no" for an answer and will say almost anything to get your information. We will work on developing a refusal script that you can use when someone calls, you will feel empowered to say no and refuse their offer.
