Woburn Common Gold Lighting Ceremony for Childhood Cancer Awareness

Woburn is going GOLD in honor of the Nationally known Childhood Cancer Awareness month of September.  Supporters welcome your entire family to join us on the common to help spread awareness.  There will be Gold t-shirts for sale ($15), balloons for the kids, a gold nail polish table, a raffle for a 1968 Camaro ($100), bracelets, cookies and more with proceeds to help children and families battling cancer.  Come see Woburn's own John Murphy and Buddy Fanjoy as they kickoff the event with some acoustic music at 7pm.  Speakers Mayor Scott Galvin and Childhood Cancer Advocates Tony Stoddard (who was just on WCVB TV for helping get the Zakim bridge and the PRU Gold for September), and Nancy Whipple will follow, with the lighting happening at dusk by surviving family members.
