A bowling tournament Sunday in Woburn will raise funds for college scholarships in memory of slain Danvers High teacher Colleen Ritzer.

The candlepin bowling will take place Sunday at the Woburn Bowladrome. The tournament starts at noon and consists of teams of four players.

The entry fee is $120 per team and prizes will be awarded to the top competitors. If you don't have a team to sign up with, you can register individually for $30 and be placed on an open team.

In addition a second fundraising event, a style-a-thon, will be held on Monday at Vero Salon and Spa in Middleton from 4-8 p.m.

There will be haircuts, pink hair extensions, chair massages, mini facials, bracelets, tee shirts, raffles and more.

"Join us to help the Ritzer family keep Colleen's legacy alive," reads a flyer for the event. The salon is located at 1 Central St. in Middleton. Call 978-750-4004 for more information.

Ritzer's death in October, allegedly at the hands of one of her students, sent shockwaves across the state, region and beyond. In Woburn, police and school officials issued a joint statement offering condolences to the Danvers community and Ritzer's family.
